Believe it or not, the beginning of the second semester also has us beginning our preparations for next year. All students have started the transition process with school counselors visiting their classes and discussing information about requesting courses for next year. Our eighth grade students have been visited by the PHS students. We’ve also been making the rounds to our feeder elementary schools to meet the fifth grade students who will be headed to Alondra next year. This process can bring a lot of questions to both parents and students. If you have questions about any part of the scheduling process or the transition to a new grade next year, please contact our school counseling department.
Semester report cards will be mailed soon. Please be sure to take some time to review the report card with your son or daughter and talk to them about the goals that they wish to set for themselves in the second semester. It’s important to do all we can to keep students strongly motivated during the second half of the year.
