Paramount Unified Celebrates Lifelong Commitment at 2025 Retirees and Veterans Ceremony

On May 28, 2025, the Paramount High School West Campus gymnasium was transformed into a hall of gratitude and celebration as Paramount Unified School District honored this year’s retirees and employees reaching milestone service anniversaries. The annual Retirees and Veterans Celebration brought together a packed house of honorees, families, colleagues, and community members—all gathered to acknowledge decades of service that have shaped the heart of Paramount USD.

The gym was filled with joy and emotion as retirees and employees marking 20, 30, and even 40 years of service were recognized for their remarkable dedication. From classroom teachers to maintenance professionals, school administrators to office support staff, every role was celebrated for its impact on students and the Paramount community.

This year’s honorees included:

  • 28 employees with 20 years of service
  • 8 employees with 30 years of service
  • 3 employees with 40 years of service
  • Over 70 retirees representing nearly every school and department in the District

District leadership, including members of the Superintendent’s Office and Senior Cabinet, joined representatives from the Teachers Association of Paramount and California School Employees Association in distributing commemorative pins, certificates, and gifts. Also in attendance were Board President Alicia Anderson, Vice President Sonia DeLeon, Board Member Diane Martinez, and City of Paramount Mayor Peggy Lemons, all of whom expressed appreciation for the honorees’ contributions.

The event was supported by a team effort, including Nutrition Services, Facilities and Maintenance, and West Campus Security, all of whom ensured the evening was smooth, welcoming, and memorable.

The honorees recognized this year represent the very best of Paramount USD—individuals whose dedication, care, and perseverance have made a lasting difference in the lives of countless students and families. Their legacy is one of excellence, service, and heart.

Congratulations to all our 2024–2025 Retirees and Veterans! Your impact will be felt for generations.
